Full list of Southern Conference (SoCon) regular season men’s basketball champions, including head coach, by year. Parenthesis indicate number of titles for that coach or school. The league has been active since 1921 and Davidson is the program with the most titles (22), followed by Chattanooga (21). Bob McKillop is the head coach with the most titles (13), followed by Mack McCarthy (eight) and Everett Case (six). Note that from 1994-95 through 2012-13, the SoCon consisted of two separate divisions, meaning that for each of those seasons there were at least two regular season champions.
