The Patriot League has awarded Patriot League Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year honors every season since 1990-91. The coach with the most awards is Colgate’s Matt Langel (five), while five other coaches have win the award three times each. Bucknell is the program with the most awards (ten), followed by Colgate and Navy (seven each). Starting with the 2025-26 season, the award is presented to the entire coaching staff rather than just the head coach. Parenthesis indicate number of awards for that coach or school.
