The Atlantic Sun Conference (f/k/a the Trans Atlantic Athletic Conference, and the ASUN) has awarded Atlantic Sun Men’s Basketball Coach of the Year honors every season since 1978-79. The coach to win the award the most times is late Georgia Southern head coach Frank Kerns, with four total. Mercer is the program with the most awards (five), followed by Georgia Southern (four).
